perpetual sleepiness

Hi, my name is Doris, and I'm an AIM addict. I've been staying up late and chatting with peeps on AIM. I found out last night that you can text message people's cell phones from AIM, and that made my night. How easily amused I am!

Haha, seriously though, classes have been so boring. I actually have been ditching morning lectures a lot. They are just so pointless and I can better spend my time learning the stuff on my own. Sometimes, it's just not worth it to go to an 8am lecture, fall asleep through most of it, then go to the library to take a 1 hour nap so I can be semi-functional for the 2 hour small group afterwards. I'm becoming such a slacker! I think my endless hours of procrastination is my way of coping with my boredom with med school. I like disease mechanisms way better than learning how increasing the times you flip a burger on a grill can decrease your risk of developing colon caner.

So what have I been doing that's interesting? Let see, I went to the SF MoMA the other day and saw the Robert Bechtle exhibit. He painted a lot of cars/people/places in California. His work on lighting is simply fantastic.

This is one of Bechtle's paintings

I found out that my friend is an amazing photographer. Here is one of the photographs that he's taken.

It's called "heart on a platter". Isn't this amazing?

Also, I've been learning Bhangra. It's an awesome traditional indian dance with lots of energy/jumping around/ fun. I'm going to be doing it at the South Asian cultural show. It's gonna be fun =) I think I'm really indian.

Ok i really ought to stop procrastinating and start doing work. I should have some fun updates after this weekend =P
