I finally went to a hand surgeon about my left index finger. He asked what we were looking at and I put my hand on the table and he went, "Ack!" (I think that's a bad sign.) He looked at it and looked at my xrays and told me I have a giant cell tumor of the soft tissue. It's rare and a little technically tricky to remove, but it has to be done or... He showed me pictures of a guy who had to have his finger amputated. There's a 10% chance it could come back and it would have to be removed again or I'd be in the same boat. So, I'm having hand surgery on the 18th. No one else who looked at it thought it was anything serious. I was told it was arthritis, I was told it was a lipoma. Nobody said aggressive tumor. Guess that's why you go see the specialists. Did I tell you he played show and tell with his gallery of tumors?
I went yesterday to get my eyes examined and had the eye doctor inform me that he can tell I have high cholesterol and hypertension by looking at my eyes. He also wanted to play show and tell and I got to see the white line of cholesterol running along the inside of my eye arteries. I think I need treatment for post traumatic stress disorder.
