I've recently realized that my sulfite allergy is probably contributing A LOT to my asthma problems.  I'm going to have to read labels when buying all my food from now on and be very careful what I order out.  I should have noticed it before, since when I eat dried apricots my throat closes up and my bronchia increase their mucus production exponentially.  For some reason I did not realize that other dehydrated foods would also include sulfites, things like mashed potato flakes for instance.  Not all of them do, there's an all natural brand that doesn't, but I really need to be more careful.  Sulfites are extremely dangerous for asthmatics.  It was just one of those smack your forehead epiphanies.  Maybe (probably) if I'm more careful about what I eat I will be healthier!  The whole realization came about after I ate a bowl of reconstituted mashed potatoes for breakfast and suffered from a severe asthma attack for the rest of the day.

Kevin is busily working on the house.  We dragged the ancient couches of Antioch out to the alley for bulk trash pickup day and he replaced the ugly tile in front of the door with beautiful new tile.  We replaced the couches with a dark brown leather(?) couch and a mission style dark brown leather recliner.  Now he wants to get a giant square ottoman to match and an apothecary style console table to put the TV on while we move the shelves to my sewing room and the entertainment unit to Ferf's room.  Kevin watches the DIY channel avidly.

We went yard sale hopping last weekend and I bought a feather bed for $15 which I thought was an amazing buy.  Kevin doesn't think I tried hard enough (read: at all) to barter.  Then we came across an "estate sale" where they were giving away free chihuahua puppies and Kevin wouldn't let me take one home.  We went inside and seriously, it was a mess like some of the houses you see on Cops and I actually had breathing problems as we were driving away.
