Hump Day Happenings
So, it's Wednesday. Instead of being at work, I'm at home with the kiddos. Julie has an ear/sinus infection which happens every few months or so. It wouldn't be so bad for her, except it makes her dizzy. It always makes me feel bad for her, since she has no health insurance. :( (Point of reference: Julie is my babysitter; she comes to my house to watch the kiddos. We are pretty close.)
It's not that I mind being at home with the kids; I don't mind in the slightest. I love my kids. I just know that my boss isn't happy with me not being there and that all of my work will be waiting for me when I get back tomorrow. *sigh*
We finally got the paperwork for Caelen's referral. His appointment with the specialist is August 3rd in Virginia Beach (Norfolk was booked until December, so we ended up being able to go with their sister office). It's still a long wait, but better than December. In the meantime, we are still working with Caelen. I've been teaching him some sign language so that he can communicate better with us. So far, he knows "more" and we are working on "milk" and "eat". Once he gets those next two down, we will teach him (and me!) some more.
Kea got back last night from a three-day sleepover. She had a blast; but I missed her!! She is still sleeping, which is good for her. :) She is usually up at 0730 or so; she must have had such a good time she wore herself out.
Well, time for breakfast for Caelen and myself. And Kea once she is awake. :D
