Stuff
I promise I haven't abandoned LiveJournal. :) I know I haven't updated in, oh, I don't know, forever and a day, but I am still around. I am on Facebook a lot, but even that single line taunts me at the end of the day. I am too tired to even post one tiny line. I need to post new pics. Caelen is growing so fast. Kea is off visiting grandparents for the summer; I miss her.
I've had a crummy week. The truck won't start; the starter is out. So, I had it towed home (it was stuck in a WalMart parking lot, and a friend was going to try to replace it) with my freebie from the insurance company. We find out that he can't get the top bolt undone, so now I have a truck that won't start sitting in my driveway. Now, I have to spend $255 at the shop (again!! after I spent $900 to get the brakes done and the door latch fixed) to get the starter changed out; not to mention the fact that I have to pay to have it towed 3 miles. That's going to cost about $75. *sigh* I just can't get ahead. We were so close; and then everything else happened and boom, back where we started.
So, since my truck is sitting in my drive, I have no ride to work. The same gentleman that tried to help me with the starter has been taking me into work in the mornings. I've been having Rich, my babysitter's husband, come and pick me up after work. Well, there was some miscommunication yesterday, so I ended up walking home. I found out that it takes an hour and a half to walk home. I'm not mad at anyone, really. Well, me maybe. Hehe. I got some good exercise. Of course, AFTER I walked home, I realized I probably could have cut out about an hour of walking by cutting through the golf course. Sheesh.
Caelen is doing good. He is Army crawling around the house. Hehe; using his elbows and his toes. He is -this- close to having teeth. He babbles non stop and eats like a bottomless pit. It is hard to believe that he is seven months old.
Kea is visiting grandparents; two weeks at each set. I think she enjoyed herself at my mom's. :) She is at my dad's until Friday, then she goes to John's family. I can't wait to see her again. I'll bet she is brown and happy and spoiled and gaining weight. :) She starts Kindergarten in the fall; I can hardly believe it.
