Just a few quotes. anonymous July 2 2008, 22:22:26 UTC
I like this story a lot. NOT because I condone violence against children in anyway, but I like how this story fully illustrated the passive sheep that became of many Americans. This event is the result of years of political correctness and weapon control which evidently neutered the US population.

The first thing that shocked me was the firemen decided to handle the situation-

"She said her boyfriend, Dan Robinson, forcefully argued with Aguiar in an effort to get him to stop, but that he would not. At one point, another woman, 23-year-old Lisa Mota, pulled up in her car, but stayed inside."

There are many things that Mr. Robinson and Mis. Mota could do. These things ranged from tackling the monster, shooting, cutting, maiming the thing. Or even hit him with your car. But arguing is definitely not one of the options. Moreover, spamming 911 on one's cellphone while sitting in the car was even more pathetic. Such inhumanity brings me to my second point.

"We were looking for rocks or boards on the ground, just to knock him out, get him under control. But we couldn't find anything," McKain said. "We didn't know if he had a knife or any kind of weapon on him."

Those who advocates weapon control would hate to see this quote. It is party their self serving ideology that killed the child- blood is on their hands. If not for years of anti-weapon sentiments, one of those spectators might have a gun, or a stick, or even a fist. This story further proves how dangerous it is to disarm the average citizen, turning them into sheep.

The sad thing is, I'd bet good money many of those people HAD weapons. Most cars have a mini-jack in the trunk, which requires a metal pole to operate. At the least, pop the hood and pull the hood prop...or use the jumper cables, or...?

The point is, even if they did not have items designated as "weapons" at hand, they had easy access to any number of items they could have used to move the attacker away from the child. Instead they did nothing.

The trained emergency response personnel who were present but did nothing useful burn me up the worst - these are supposed to be the sheepdogs?

Who are you, btw? I have a guess, but since you're not logged in I can't say for certain.
