I don't want to be President
First of all, I'd suck at politics, cuz I don't compromise and I'm far too embarrassing to be a public figure.
Secondly, I want to be Supreme Ruler of Earth.
I'd like to note that while I am completely serious, I also know it's entirely infeasible. There isn't sufficient concentration of power for one person to control (mostly militarily) the entire planet. Even if there was, that person would almost definitely not be me.
With that said, I really should be Ruler of Earth. My decisions are always wise and just, and I know everything. Well, at least I tend to come up with good solutions. And though I don't know everything, I tend to learn quickly and as Ruler could easily build a capable network of advisers and informants.
Mostly, though, I guess I'm just annoyed at how poorly governments deal with laws, etc. I see many bad choices that I would've made differently, even knowing as little as I know. The people, as a whole, are too stupid to decide matters of public policy, thus democracy is an inadequate attempt at government.
And, really, the world is quickly joining together, becoming one as travel and communication unite people, cultures and countries. The time of separate people, separate governments is approaching its end. Eventually, someone with too much vision/power for just one country will rise up and take control... and the world is too small, too connected for he/she to stop at just a continent or two. Eventually, Earth will have an Emperor.
I just hope it's me.
