Gay Marriage
Making gay marriage either legal or illegal is just plain silliness. I'm all for separation of Church and State.
Right, so, civil unions for both hetero and homo couples, with all the rights and privileges normally given to marriage. Marriages can still be performed, of course, but should no longer be legally recognized. Marriage should be entirely separated from the law, so any disputes over gay marriage involves only that couple and their church.
Summary: Replace marriage with union, allow for all couples, marriages no longer have any legal status
