Greek - Cyrillic

Today was my turn for a small presentation at Peter Biľak's lesson.
All of us during the 2nd part of the 1st semester (october-december) should have made a presentation on the around typography / type design theme fitting in 10 minutes, which for a normal person can be not a big deal? :)
Long time I assumed my theme to be something on around the future of the web typography, hinting, screen fonts and etc., as I am interested in the process of migration of type to a digital / screen “world”.
But finally I changed the theme… On one side I was not sure that I can tell more, than most of my classmates know. On the other I also came to the conclusion that this aspect as very wide for an appropriate time.
I came to an idea that it would be interesting to analyze the similarities of Greek and Cyrillic alphabets. Not going into the historical part, but just making a general view on the letters, with which most of the students, as I supposed, were not familiar with.
At the end I can say that it became a very subjective alphabets view… One of a strange decisions was to choose 1 typeface for the comparison, Georgia. I needed “a more or less good” serif typeface with Cyrillics and Greek. (Mathiew Carter's work seems to me a good choice).
Analyzing my feelings I again think that my speech was also messy and inconsistent, not as I imagined it to be… For the next time I need to make a record, to have a real impression. I need a huge practice in talking and explaining… may be that will help.
