(no subject)
yesterday i went to malicka, a sprawling suburb of dakar. thats where the dutch missionary has the djembe workshop =) SO i hopped in and started working with the guys who are all really nice and accepting. im about to go there again in a minute...yesterday i hitched a ride with a missionary couple but today im going public transport = approx 2 hours in a bus. jealous?
tomorrow im going to the village to visit ken, my PCV. so no communication for a week!
yesterday, july 4th, i didnt crash the embassy party sadly, but i did show my djembe off to the guys i drink tea with everyday and their mom. that was pretty fun and tomorrow, ill show it to guelel, my senegalese friend from oxford whos in town for a little bit. =)
But the rain started last night. bon fete! good fourth with rain except now i have a cold. oh well!
