So, Max got into my room this morning and beat my little kitty up pretty bad.
My door doesn't always latch, but since I have to keep the cats separate I always make sure it is latched before I leave or go to sleep.
I KNOW it was latched last night, because Max was pawing at the door like crazy when I went to bed but couldn't push it open.
Somehow (he's a pretty smart cat) he got it open around seven fifteen and I woke up to a screeching cat fight. I couldn't get them separated right away, but finally got a hold of Max and threw him back into the hallway.
Anyway, I didn't notice until this afternoon (when I woke up again) that Charlotte was keeping one eye closed. It is swollen and infected. I called the emergency vet, but it was going to cost $88 dollars just to get her through the door.
So I scheduled an appointment for tomorrow, which I'll have to miss class to go to.
Meanwhile, Charlotte hasn't been moving around much, growls/cries when I mess with her, and won't eat. She didn't even come out when I opened a can of wet food, which usually brings her at a sprint. I'm worried.
This comes at a time when I'm absolutely broke, will have no money for Christmas, and just don't need another complication in my life.
When I first got Charlotte she was losing her left eye to infection. Luckily, Aaron's gramma had some eye-goop that cured her. Now she's in danger in of losing eyesight in the same eye.
My poor baby kitty. She's pissed at me for holding her down, wiping her eye, and unsuccessfully trying to wash it out with contact solution.
Hopefully she'll forgive me after the vet tomorrow.
