...a little piece of sunshine from me to you:
A friend has been on my heart a lot lately. The time I spent with her this past month
wasn't too long; I wish it was longer. She shares an appreciation for things of a literary
nature that I don't really share with anyone else. Perhaps I am often reminded of her
because of a co-worker with similar features. I think her beauty is under-rated and
I hope she learns to see herself for the wonderful, amazing person she is.
I never mean to go this long without writing but it always ends up happening anyway...
I got blood drawn today. Ugh. The worst part was sitting in the waiting room witnessing
some sort of worker picking up two big see-through containers containing blood. I
kept trying to fake myself out by thinking it was fruit punch.
A part of me was quite sad upon discovery that Brad Renfro has passed. I think the news
traumatized me simply because I was so in love with him when I was younger. Just
a reminder that no one is invincible; they are as vulnerable as we are, if not more so.
I'm happy that Atonement won two Golden Globes; although I'm disappointed Juno
didn't get any love. Ah well...there's always the Independent Spirit Awards.
I haven't been to the library in a month and it's driving me crazy. However, I did
stumble upon some good finds at the used bookstore/thrift store: The Sundial and
old editions of The Stepford Wives and A Clockwork Orange.
My thoughts on the Chargers/Patriots game: it's a match-up between David and
Goliath....and we all know how that ended :)
