a lazy saturday
Yesterday, Ian and I went to the fair with Dad & Sandy. The weather was great..sunshine and a nice breeze. Spent most of the hot hours of the day walking around the exhibits/booths observing the immense creativity of God in nature and watching demos on products we had no intention of purchasing. Had an amazing Spinach Wrap thus proving that it is possible to find something healthy to eat at the fair. Tried the fried avocados/tomatoes and didn't think they were that great. Had a bite of Dad's fried cola and found it just too weird. Discovered that there is nothing fair cooks won't put on a stick (BBQ Pork Chop or Frozen Chocolate Dipped Twinkie anyone?) It was the first time we went to the fair without riding any rides or feeling disgustingly stuffed afterwards. I'd say our day was a success.
