My first writer type thing.

Started my short story on Thursday. Wrote most of it Friday. Finished it yesterday. Edited and submitted it today. I feel like an actual writer now. A fantastic, wonderful writer wrapped in the possibility of being published. The payday would be nice too. Not going to lie about that.
Sunday night and I'm going over the things in my head to make sure I've done everything I needed to get done over break. I think I got all the work for my placement done, and am ahead on a few things. My paper is done and sent to my professor. I got the work for my professional development class done. I sent in my weekly report... I could get ahead on a couple more things. Or, more writing.
I need to get some more work done on the novel. Bolstered by the act that makes me feel all the more like a real writer, I think I might have the energy to power through the ending chapters. Then start the edits. Oh wonderful edits. The fleshing out of a story. The fixing of the little pieces that are slightly out of whack. Oh, sure, it's a bit of a pain, not getting it right the first time, but that's how we learn.
