dinner episode 6
The elders need to be respected! That is the whole point! Little bit more about owner Tatsumi and what kind of man he was and the eldest staff member Hamaoka Kotaro(Shiga Kotaro)!
Ezaki growls at Natsuno because he just removed rosemary from dish instead replacing it with something else! Hamaoka-san suggests mint and Ezaki likes the idea grumbling how Natsuno should learn thing or two from older man! Guys comment how he uses honorific just when talking about Hamaoka -san! Well he is older and does his job without mistake! Of course, Ezaki orders them not to talk nonsense and to move their hands! Love when he does that, they are like kids and need reminder to work!
Later guys are eating in dining room and Saori receives a call, famous food magazine and they want to do big post about Roccabianca! Guys think it will bad if Ezaki shows because King of the Grumpiness will ruin their image! Lucky for them it is Antipasto special and Hamaoka-sans' appetizers are praised so he is to be interviewed! He declines! It is so cute that all girls want wife like Hamaoka-san and that guys think Ezaki is jealous that he is not going to be in magazine!
At the end of working hours Saori and guys urge Hamaoka-san to accept interview but he stubbornly declines citing that people come for the main courses so they doesn't belong to main pages! Imai argues that Hamaoka-sans' appetizers are fit for lame light! Nicely said! Alas nothing works and old man is out! Guys start to comment how little they know about Hamaoka-san and Imai tells them not to pry into other peoples' business! They comply until he is there but the moment he steps out gossiping is on!
Saori goes to the hospital to visit her father and finds that Hamaoka-san is already there! He sweetly put Tatsumi-san hansets with Vivaldi, i think it is autumn, because Tatsumi-san liked that song! She is touched! After they talk and and she again pleads for him to accept interview!
Next thing you know Hamaoka-san is having interview and other guys comment how he deserved it! But Ezaki barges in talking about rabbits they found and orders guys to prepare! Later in restaurant comes guy who looks like trouble and asks for guy who made appetizer telling that they serve food from murderer! Saori is shocked and Segawa tries to smooth things over but guy starts to make fuss and demands to see Hamaoka-san! Old man comes and shocks everyone by lowering his head! Aw man!
Later Hamaoka-san reveals his story: 20 years ago he was going home and had quarrel with drunk man, he pushed man who bumped his head and died! Hamaoka-san, good man that he is, turned himself to police and spent 5 years in prison! Segawa knew all about this! When he was released Tatsumi-san waited to him and offered him job! If he didn't Hamaoka-san hardly would be able to work in any restaurant! Saori suggests that they should not talk about this any more and other guys agree, it is old story!
Later Imai came to say goodbye to Saori and she blames herself for making Hamaoka-san accept that interview! That didn't help much but Imai tells that Tatsumi-san probably suspected that one day all this will happen, all the same he hired Hamaoka-san! She should stop thinking because that would happen sooner or later! Wise man, listen to him!
Hamaoka-san came to kitchen and Ezaki asks him to taste his rabbit porchetta! He apologizes and Ezaki tells that customer made fuss so he needn't apologize!
Everything would be ok if some idiot didn't spread the word on Roccabianca forum and of course a lot guys cancelled! In dressing room Pasta guy unleashed his tongue how it is because Hamaoka-san and that they will be destitute! Of course Hamaoka-san was behind the door! What i appreciate is that other guys didn't agree!
Next day fluffy Nobunari had to make meal for guys because Saori couldn't get in touch with Hamaoka-san! Ezaki and other grumble that food is awful, except for Segawa who is cutely confused because he ate all!
Saori goes to Hamaoka-sans' place and he gives her his resignation letter! When Saori tells to guys Eriko gives Pasta hate stare telling how it is his fault! They argue but Segawa puts stop at it asking who will do appetizers! Nobunari claims that he can do it, he watched all the time old man made them! They test him and he really made same looking thing! But taste is other thing, Ezaki gives it a glance and tells them to bring back Hamaoka-san! Guys taste it and of course it is not good! Imai will make them!
That night one nervous woman comes! She is once every year on same day their guest! After a while waitress informs Saori that woman took just one bite of the appetizer! Saori asks if everything is ok and Nakamura-sama(Horiuchi Keiko) shyly asks is something wrong with Hamaoka-san! She seems surprised to know he doesn't work there!
It is closing time and Nakamura-sama is only one left! Segawa the Gentlemen asks if she wants another coffee! She says she would like to meet Hamaoka-san one more time and explains that he saved her! Apparently that night drunk guy tried to force himself on Nakamura-sama and Hamaoka-san saved her but unfortunately guy died! She was young and frightened and supposed to marry next month! When she came to apologize to Hamaoka-san after he was released he just laughed and told her it is in the past! She would love to see him because next week she is moving to Brasil! Saori decides to go once more to Hamaoka-san!
Alas when she comes next morning Hamaoka-san is moving out! She tries to make him stay but he thinks it was mistake to come back when Tatsumi-san asked and wants to leave! At the station he remembers conversation he had with Tatsumi-san in front of the jail and we finally hear it!
Hamaoka-san: Owner!

Hamaoka-san: Is it ok for person like me to come back?
