Shitsuren Chocolatier episode 7
It is morning. Kaeruko is still in bed and with eyes closed complains about lack of sleep. Guy kisses her forehead saying she works too hard. He gets up and starts dressing. Just then Kaeruko opens her eyes recognizing that it is Souta! What the??? She freaks out to realize he saw her belly while he gently tells her to take her time coming to the store, he will tell others. That is nice but what in the what are you doing there?! She takes a look at ring on her hand and decides it is all well, she is married to Souta. Alarm wakes her up. In "choco la vie" she convinces herself not to worry much about it because it is just a dream after all. Not a wish! Just then Souta starts telling Olivier about his silly dream(he went on Tahiti with Erena and there they got newly wed suit; he tried to explain they are not married but in vain; when he looked Erena she turned in Olivier and he tried to say it is mistake cause he is not gay) and Olivier returning with story of his own(he went to France with Matsuri to introduce her to his parents). Overhearing this totally makes her feel better. But in middle of it Olivier shares that he is going out with Matsuri which leaves both Souta and Kaeruko shell shocked. Souta quickly congratulates and Kaeruko goes to put chocolates in display thinking how hard it is to keep track of love lives in this shop. Looking at Souta who jumps around Matsuri and Olivier fishing for info while she is irritated that Olivier told everyone, Kaeruko thinks how annoying it is. She blames it on stupid dream. Her phone rings and she jumps to look at it. Alas, weather report. She realizes this is real culprit. There is no response. After she stepped outside her personality to write him, Sekiya never replied to her message. She decides to never do it again. Ha! She is acting like every other schoolgirl. And what did you know, Sekiya stares at his phone like hypnotized. Ricudou pops by his side once more and is appalled that Sekiya still haven't written reply! Actually Sekiya is afraid to do it wrong. In his head Ricudou thinks how youngsters these days doesn't appreciate miracle of encounters. When two are loving eachother you should run with passion but one look at Sekiya makes him decide that there is no passion. Lol! He can't make himself not interfere and he orders Sekiya to write reply this instant! To his disdain Sekiya is needed and he excuses himself leaving Ricudo fuming in one of his inner monologue. He really is not fond of Sekiya and Souta ending together but doesn't want miracle to be in vain...
It is first day of Valentine week. Precisely 8th February, which means the busiest part of year for chocolaterie. Even Soutas' dad helps out in the store telling him to stay in the kitchen and do the chefs' work. The end of the day is not end of work, there is preparations for tomorrow and Souta has to make Special Valentines box for Saeko. That leaves him just 2h to sleep. Not nearly enough if you ask me. He doesn't even go home and sleeps in shop's back room. That is how his days pass with only thing that keeps him going is the fact that 14th is near and then it will all be over. He will confess, get heartbroken and after that he will keep living as if nothing happened. As Saeko is living now. Saeko and her husband are in their living room and she asks him about cat but he shuts down the idea saying it is bothersome to have animal. Her face falls. He catches himself, probably realizing he is being ass, and tells her they will get few Ricudo Valentine boxes and he will save some for her. She doesn't react till he calls her name and forces herself to be all cheery. Husband notices that. Actually at the moment she is reading about Souta in some magazine, looking at his picture. She goes to the store and buys a lot of chocolates but only sees Souta working in kitchen trough glass wall. Kaeruko seems to feel bad for Saeko and goes to tell Souta that she was there. He asks about her purchase and Olivier is interested about special Valentines box. It is not ready and Souta never even contacted Saeko to arrange meeting. Olivier thinks it is not possible for her to meet him on Valentines day but Souta never intended that. He will call her on 13th. Oh right! He got refused day before! That evening, Olivier comes home to find Matsuri in living room. He can say something is off. She confesses that she needs to see her ex, some of her stuff are still at his place and he insists that she picks them up. But of course that doesn't mean anything to her. Olivier is angry. Everyone can see what it is happened when her ex is calling her at his place with such stupid excuse. Olivier has two choices: to break up or to go with her. Oh, balls!

Wrong thing to do, hooded guy puts a knife in his back. Olivier falls on the ground. Souta runs in urging Olivier to hold on but Olivier leaves Matsuri in Soutas' care before closing eyes. Police comes in and drags Souta with them. Cue to Souta screaming that he didn't do it while still in "choco la vie" kitchen. HA! Olivier asks if he is ok? Hahahah!!! Real encounter is not nearly as funny. Guy opens door(*fangirl scream* it is Honey-sempai!!! Chiba Yudai cameo) He totally smiles at Matsuri telling he didn't collect her stuff so she better come in. Olivier is having none of that and pushes past guy telling Matsuri to wait for him. I am so enjoying jealous Olivier! In there he overlooks guy picking up stuff and asks if he is making fun of people. Calling Matsuri to pick stuff up while he never prepared them. Ex ignores that and points how Matsuri obviously went to Olivier cause he is rich celebrity. But Olivier retorts it being tons better than cheater common guy! Woah, smackdown! Olivier asks why he did it and ex answers that both girls he liked, liked him back. He used chance thinking it will never happen again. He thought that remaining girl would be The One, but now he thinks he lost something great with Matsuri. Olivier is smarter than that and tells him that it is because he lost her. If other girl left he would think the same. Also Matsuri decided to go with Olivier not because of his status but cause he is better than ex! So he should not make it Oliviers fault and better not make it Matsuris' fault. With that he opens door to go. Matsuri and ex lock eyes for moment before doors close. Kaoruko can't have him scatter polen everywhere so she rushes him to change while Souta smiles. Erena goes to Ricdor to buy choco as every year. Ricudou asks her if she will give some to Kurashina, her one sided love, and gets surprised to hear she was rejected. She looks totally ok, smiling and everything. Don't know bout guy but choco i am envious about! Souta comes home to take some clothes and runs on dad. Dad inquires if there is anyone who would care for Souta? Um, how is Kaeruko? *wink, wink* Souta as always thinks it is rude to Kaeruko to make such assumptions and tells there seems to be someone Kaeruko likes. Dad gets confused. You can practically see him wondering if he red signs properly. He then asks if there is someone Souta would like to marry? Souta says it is all messy now but there is someone he wants to date properly when everything gets right. Dad totally perks at this wanting to know is she beauty. Souta doesn't think it is important but from everyone he knows she is the most beautiful. She is great and always smiles and even has no problem dealing with him. Dad can't wait to meet her smiling that now that Olivier and Matsuri are going out everything is coming to its place. Erena gets job offer and while they apologize that it is on 13th she totally doesn't mind knowing Souta will confess and wanting to keep herself occupied for that day.

Souta thinks it is trick knowing that Saeko bought chocolates few days ago. But no, when he turns she is there and when he turns she waves and gives him the cutest smile ever. Yeah, try not to be shaken by that. Like being under spell, he watches till she leaves the room and when when spoon falls from his hand on the floor he just looks at it still thinking bout moments with Saeko. After standing like that, totally numb, it is like something in his snaps. He grabs Special Valentines box and runs out telling Olivier he will soon be back. Thinking he will go at Saekos' pace one last time he catches up on her in park. She sweetly smiles noting how many people were in shop congratulating him on being as famous shops. He thanks her and gives her Special Valentines Box. She loves it thinking it is some special service but he clearly says it is just for her. For Valentines. He recals that 7 years ago she dumped him on Valentines. After that he did everything to become first rate chocolatier and did his best to forget her. It was completely opposite, he loved her more and more. If she liked curry he would make curry shop to make her pleased. More important, he always loved her. And still does. She is so special for him that he kept track of her favorite choco so that he would make the ones she likes just because that is something that would make her happy. But he will stop now. Him being chocolatier is forever reminder that he loved Saeko. Now it is time to move on as she did. Her happiness is reward enough for everything and wishes her to be happy. Her eyes are filled with tears by now and it confuses Souta. He mistakes it as worry for chocolate and tells her not to concer herself with it. Also she is regular custumer and they would be happy if she would come as usual. But no, she continues looking at him teary eyed. He comes closer thinking that he always dreamed of moments with Saeko when he would feel what she is thinking. He never imagined it will become real and now when it is getting, question pops up: Is it ok to make it real?! They kiss. Something bumps and it is sound of Kaeruko, who is standing little farther, loosing what is left of her heart.
Matsumoto Jun really has pretty hands! I mean REALLY pretty! Kept staring at them in kissing scene. That said kissing scene was not as hot as some in Soutas' fantasy but what gave energy to that scene is that there was that question of making Saeko adulteress. Till now what we saw was all in Soutas' head which is totally ok, but now we step into the danger zone. I am not even sure they did everything to make me ship Souta and Saeko pair. They are great but it is delicate topic with so much pros and cons that i will have to wait and see next episode to see what i think about it.
Matsuri and Oliver were my faves this time. Prodded by jealousy Olivier's perfect guy armor started cracking showing insecurity. But also assertiveness. He doesn't want to be just rebound guy, he wants to be The Guy. I was sad whole punchdown was only part of Soutas' imagination till we were shown real Oliver-Ex scene. It is the fact that Ex (un)intentionally insulted Matsuri saying she would go with Olivier cause of his fortune and status. The way Olivier reacted pointing that Matsuri chose better guy out of two shows just how good he knows her and respects that she is not like that. I am not sure is Matsuri really thinking her Ex would just give her the bag and let her leave, that would be really dim. If she told him to trow those things she obviously doesn't need them. Why would she go there? But you can see she cares for Olivier and i think she ment everything she told him about believing in their relationship. Only problem for now is that he is the one that loves more. Unless, he and Souta decide to make that dream come truth! This drama would totally turn in other direction...
