Ando Lloyd episode 7
Asahi stares at unconscious Lloyd when Detective Ashimoto runs in looking concerned. She eyes suspiciously but asks what should they do. Call cops? He argues that they are trying to kill Asahi Ando but guy just skips that and shows Hoshi footage of what Lloyd will do in 2066. In the end they hand him poison he is to inject to terminate Lloyds' program, since they can't enter Asahis' home cause Lloyd did good job in protecting it. They will also hand him program for charging because they need to disguise operation as helping to fix Lloyd. Hoshi in low voice asks if Detective is sure about this and Ashimoto confirms it. When Hoshi leaves, Mikuriya asks two androids if they are sure and they say yes. Why is Detective Ashimoto looking so lifeless and where is his cigarette?

When time comes and he is still not sure what to do. Taking out lighter he thinks what to do while looking at flame. It returns him at the time when he was student preparing to take entrance exam. He was so nervous that went to bathroom to smoke in secret but his lighter didn't work. Someone from stall by wanted to borrow him a flame and Hoshi was shocked when saw Reiji. It was really cute that Reiji needed few seconds to realize guy is underage but didn't yell or anything. Instead he acknowledged Hoshis explanation that he needs cigarette to calm down in order to show his full potential. Reiji handed him a lighter(saying it is ok only for today) and when Hoshi wanted to return it, Reiji said the lighter is magic box and will do him more good that cigarettes. Staring at flame helped Reiji many times to focus and find ideas. He is so funny being so engrossed in explaining powers of flame while waving with it that i couldn't help but think he will burn his hair or Hoshis' face. In the end Hoshi announces he will certainly become student of that school and go to Reijis' classes and even work hard so that he can become like Reiji. Reiji tells him not to, for he will become u unhappy. But then wishes him luck with exams. Awww! It is so adorable and quirky, no wonder Hoshi remembered it. And now he is holding the same lighter, staring at the flame he thinks if he is doing right thing. He glances at unconscious Lloyd and one picture appears in his mind. He looks at the Lloyds' profile picture on computer, the same one he saw in presentation at Police Headquarters. He noticed detail on uniform, it is emblem for Sanson Family. It surprises him that androids put that stuff on but it triggers a memory of a story he was told by police earlier how group of androids malfunctioned and slaughtered millions of people. ARX II-13 was only one left and he even killed mass of world leaders. Processing all this info, Hoshi tries to get up but falls and clock falls on the ground. Asahi hears noise and enters to see if Hoshi is ok. She gently checks clock while telling Hoshi about Lloyd fixing it and sharing what he said about difference between humans and things. Hoshi shows her Wanted add and asks if she still believes "him". Remembering their nice moments, she answers that she does, finding this out doesn't mean a thing. She will decide for herself who to believe. He then points emblem but she is not familiar with it. The thing is in France there was Sanson family who were for 6 generations Royal Executioners. The most prominent member was Charles-Henri Sanson who argued in favor of using guillotine. No kidding, they actually existed and killed for king and even the king if necessary. He also finds suspicious that massacre happened in Afrika and places in Asia with big population such as India. It is like suppressing population growth. Asahi realizes Detective Ashimoto was right. Hoshi is full of respect while saying how Lloyd with his will and emotions combined with first class skills, decided to kill masterminds aka world leaders. He calls it Evolution. In android headquarters, Last2 are notified that Matsushima Reijis' brain data made connection. Last2 are confused knowing that Reijis' data is been destroyed. Police Cloud orders them to make Human Police send SIT team to Asahis' house. Interesting, now humans are used They right away go and inform Mikuriya that Reiji and accomplices are planning terrorist attack. Of course he sends team right away. Hoshi and Asahi receive mail and sender is from 2113. It is encrypted but Hoshi works his magic and picture appears. It is Tokyo Tower. And then signs for 1(juu, guys translating put it as 1 but it is 10) and 8(hachi). Hoshi is confused while Asahi remembers all the time Reiji made those hand gestures and they are the same as characters for 1 and 8. OMG! I never noticed! She knows this is from Reiji, Hoshi is not so convinced. Message disappears but problems with Lloyd start resolving itself. Hoshis phone rings and it is Detective Ashimoto telling him to hurry up and destroy android. Hoshi asks who he is, he is most definitely not Detective because earlier he didn't smell like cigarettes. That is how i like you! One of Last2 hands phone to Mikuriya who tells Hoshi that fixing android would deem as terrorist act. He instructs Hoshi to look trough the window. SIT troups are grouping outside. Mikuriya tells they should stop what they are doing and gives them 5min or team will enter with licence to kill. Electricity is also cut. In my building neighbors would go out screaming but i guess Japan is different. Lucky that Hoshi is using laptop so battery mode gets turned on. She leaves Hoshi in charge. Mikuriya gives all clear for entering. SIT leader orders his team to enter but aborts everything when Asahi runs out wanting to talk to one in charge. SITleader steps forward. She informs him that they are not terrorists and have no desire to fight back. Is police going to shoot unarmed civilians? He hesitates when she tells him there is no proof that they are planing terrorist attack till Mikuriya orders him to just kill them already. Detective Ashimoto appears calling SITleader(he calls him Ishikawa) fool for not using brain and whole organisation on promoting brainless people. These two obviously know eachother. He tries to make Leader think but his brain is too rusty so he goes on default mode and points gun at Detective.

Asahi charges at leader and he just pushes her on the ground. Now gun is on her. Just then, Lloyds' repairs are completed. Woohoo! Asura System gets activated(2 to go) and Lloyd finally opens his eyes. He locks at Hoshi before disappearing. And appears just at right place, by Leaders' side. He continues to appear and disappear and in the end whole SIT team is on the ground. Lloyd stares at Asahi and Detective before disappearing.He materializes in front of Mikuriya and Last2. Androids vanish eliciting annoying expression out of him. But Mikuriya is a human so he has nowhere to go when Lloyd appears behind him ready to slam his face on the window. Cool! Instead he stops it few millimeters from glass letting Mikuriya enjoy panoramic view while ordering him to tell everyone involved with 2113 Police that he knows every name and if something like this SIT team spree happens again he will kill everyone and their family. Correction, he will kill every politician and policeman in Japan in 30 min. To hammer this he takes out one of his nail needles and makes move like he will pierce it trough Mikuriyas' eye. It is enough to scare the hell out of anyone and Mikuriya agrees to stay away from Asahi. Lloydo vanishes and appears in Asahis' living room where Hoshi, Detective and Asahi are. As Asura OS shuts down, Lloyd stumbles on the floor(KimuTakus' body was probably black from all bruises). Asahi rushes to hug him being relieved that he is fine. He doesn't recognize the name Lloyd. Her smile fades. He introduces himself as ARX II-13 who was oredered from his client to protect her. She is speechless. On top of that he doesn't recognize Hoshi or Detective and points a gun at them.
Ugh, amnesia is always really frustrating. But since we were all prepared for this(i hope) it makes it somewhat fun.
I like how in this episode they presented us with big paradoxes: person who doesn't use its' brain, android who is desperate to use his own, man are used as androids' killing puppets, androids who refuse to kill for humans, person protecting android. If i may add Asahi who is using her own brain and Hoshi who is using his for good. Yup, that was about it. Who knew, Lloyd is absent for just one episode!
I am happy that with Hoshi and Detective, whole crew is now at the right side. I would never want to be on opposite side from Detective Ashimoto, man is awesome at his work, or Hoshi, he would drive you crazy with questions, privacy breach and being an idiot in general. Also i am not sure if Hoshi will be killed because they are doing good job in establishing his relationship with Saki. He certainly needs to grow up since till now he was acting like teenager pretending to be adult. Maybe killing Ashimoto is more probable.
Till i saw Reiji on screen i didn't notice how much i missed him. Such a quirky and warm character is absolute refreshment in all that tension. Not that hot Lloyd is bad but man that is open regard his feelings for his girlfriend is unbeatable. No wonder Hoshi admired this guy, he really was nice.
Btw since Asahis' company is working on Enigma Cloud project, does it have anything with Police Cloud or Zero Cloud platform? I was just wondering since they all have word in common. It might have been coincidence but somehow with this show, i don't think so.
