Our Medical boat arrives on tiny island populated only with old people. Maki jokes with Dr. Kota that there are no handsome teachers to fall in love with(when there were kids, they actually had to commute with boat who also brings supplies to island). Kota is sure he will not fall this time. Of course he is wrong cause just that morning young woman Rika(Kaho looking as pretty as always) arrived on the island. Maki and Kota happen to check on girls' mother who had operation few years ago and seems to suffer from dementia. Rika had fight with Mom and didn't contact her for 5years(damn!) so dementia thing is quite a blow for her. When Kota does the blood test she follows to see results but also to talk with Kota about something. She asks him to marry her. HA! Omg, after chasing all those girls this one is ready to marry at once?! What is the best part everyone already know he is in love(Mako told them he met her) but they are so sure he will end up broken hearted. In the mean time, war rages, Boat owner and his Pretty doctor wife are fighting for she forgot their anniversary. He is acting like a kid. But Kota manages to tell them that he is getting married. Everyone SHOCK! Except Captain who wants to make celebration dinner. HA! Everything is about food for him. Next day Kota is going to meet Rikas' Mom and on way Rika confesses that she had fiance who came to meet her Mom and older woman was against saying he is not respectful person. Girl cut ties with Mom. But after a while guy borrowed money from her and continued to do so till one day she couldn't contact him anymore. It was marriage fraud. She says Kota is so different and she wishes she met him earlier. When they come to Rikas' home, they find Mom in pool of blood. To the hospital it is. Woman had ulcer who started bleeding. Rika is devastated and while she is waiting two cops want to take her to custody. Kota wants her to wait but cops tell him girl is accused of 3 cases of marriage fraud. He thinks it is impossible but Rika confesses, she was alone and hurt. When she did it she didn't felt anything. But everything she said to Kota is true, she honestly regrets that she didn't met him before. He still wants for her to stay till operation is over and Mako(who knows cop since when she helped him with some "things" while she was in high school, others think when she was delinquent) helps with making them wait for 1h. Finally Kota does his magic and wants to take Rika to see Mom. Cops try to make him realize he was cheated. Kota: No, there was no harm. I just fell in love. Me: falling in love with Kota. Girl tells her Mom she will get married to Dr. Kota and go from this ship in Moms' traditional wedding dress on little commuting boat, that is what Mom always dreamed for her daughter. Mom finally reacts to girl calling her Rika and telling her she is glad. Outside Rika thanks Kota before entering boat with black hanker on her hands(to hide cuffs).
That night Kota is heart broaken but no one can make fun of him. Owner and Pretty Doctor reconcile and Mako goes outside to console Kota. She brings him one of her flans and says she respects him more now. She thinks he is crying but when she makes him turn he is eating her flan. LOL! I love how sho appears out of nowhere in her hand. Kota sends another message to his mom and mysterious guest asks woman when will she tell her son truth, urging her to do it "before it is too late".
