Last Friends and Taiyou no Kisetsu
Last Friends is the one of this season's jdramas that I was most looking forward to, and I'm happy to say that it really is looking good. I recently marathoned through the first three episodes and wrote a long spoilery meta post on them in my journal ( here). The story seems intriguing and the acting by all the leads (Nagasawa Masami, Ueno Juri, Nishikido Ryo, Eita, etc.) is very good.
Before starting on Last Friends, I decided to finally make it through the rest of Taiyou no Kisetsu which I'd abandoned for about half a year. I ended up having rather mixed feelings about the drama: the main female character was adorable, but there were several times I wanted to shake some sense into Takizawa Hideaki's character. That guy seemed to make the wrong choices whenever he could and only in the end realized that he had been looking for the completely wrong things all this time.
