sweet relationship!

Liked ISWAK? (I'm pretty sure most of us did!)
Love Vic Zhou? (If you don't, I don't think I want to know you..)

Then perhaps you'll want to know a thing or two about the fresh, just-premiered Taiwanese idol drama Sweet Relationship, directed by the same guy who directed ISWAK and The Rose, and produced by the same lady who produced ..well, pretty much every other drama from Meteor Garden to Why Why Love. Oh, and starring Vic Zhou - must not forget - along with Patty Hou (newcomer!), Megan Lai (Silence, Mars, White Robe of Love) and Alan Kuo (sung Mars theme song!). The same manga was adapted as a jdrama called Oishii Kankei.

It looks like a fluffy, partly angsty, sort of ISWAKish. The heroine (Patty Hou) used to be rich but her dad died and now I guess she's poor and has to look for a job. She finds a familiar taste in one restaurant's golden soup and wants to work there, but the head chef (Vic Zhou) isn't thrilled. "No women in my kitchen," he basically states. However, the drama wouldn't exist if she didn't work in his kitchen so eventually she does and begins to melt his icy heart and discover things about his mysterious past (you know the drill).

Intangible FS is subbing it, and have already subbed the trailers, which made me giddy with anticipation, so I fully recommend them.

Trailer 1;; Trailer 2;; Trailer 3;; Trailer 4;;

The cast along with some elderly lady. Who knows. Megan Lai plays Vic's childhood friend who he of course has some sort of semi-romantic connection with, but they aren't the OTP - they never are! :D

God, I adore Megan Lai. She's just so gorgeous.

This guy's not bad, either.

The OTP. Like I said, very ISWAK-type OTP at least judging by the promos, but I look forward to it. I liked OTP in ISWAK - it got a bit extreme and draggy by the end, but eventually they worked it out and became cuter than candy fluff and puppies.

I hope Patty Hou's a good actress for a newcomer, though.

Here's the opening song (sung by, you guessed it, Vic Zhou);

The chef hat makes Vic's ears stick out funnily. XDDD But otherwise, eeeee, it just looks so promising.

I hope this is like the non-draggy version of ISWAK. With food! And Vic - never forget. I also have a good feeling about secondary guy, Alan Kuo's character. :)
