Lengthy post on past and upcoming dramas I am interested in...
Speaking of awesome (or at least interesting) kdramas, it’s only three days until The Devil!!!
So, I bring you some wonderful production pics:
I am also interested in checking out the upcoming (in March at some point), Hello Miss/Hello Baby because it stars Lee Da Hae, the heroine of My Girl and Green Rose and I adore her. The plot sounds cute too:
Hwa Ahn Dang owner, Soo Ha (Lee Da Hae) who is trying to save the place from being bankrupt, meets Dong Gyu (Lee Ji Hoon) and Chang Min (Ha Suk Jin), the grandsons of a wealthy man who had worked at Hwa Ahn Dang a long time ago. Together with a crazy woman's daughter 'Hwa Ran', they get involved in a dangerous love story...This drama is adapted from the novel, "Kimchi Mandu."
After my recent angst-drama bout, I need something light.
The first ep apparently just aired. Don’t they look cute:

Another drama I am all eager for? The jdrama starring my kdrama favorite Lee Wan (yay for coproductions). Magnolia Flower is about the love between a Korean man and a Japanese woman.
I bring you pictures from the promo event for it:
The female lead looks ehhh (and I don’t like her hairstyle) but as someone in a thread for a Joe Cheng drama pointed out to a similar comment, that just means you get to look at the male lead more.
I am also somewhat interested in the upcoming Tae Wang Sa Shin Gi / Legend. It’s a period/fantasy epic so might be fun:
It stars Bae Young Joon who I liked in kmovie Untold Scandal. He was also the lead in Winter Sonata but I am one of 10 kdrama fans who hasn’t seen that one yet.
And to show I am not all about kdramas, my next drama after Snow Queen? The jdrama Taiyou no kisetsu (Season of the Sun) starring Takizawa Hideaki.
I vaguely planned to watch it before because I love Takki (have you seen HIM?), but the synopsis didn't really grab me. Didn't grab me until calixa posted her own, and also a picspam and posts on how good it was.
And I did further investigation?
And Oh. My. GOD.
This is so for me! I simply cannot resist a story that features a messed-up, manipulative, dramaged Takki bent on revenge who gets sidetracked when he falls in love with an innocent. This is SUCH a thing of mine (Kurosagi, A Love to Kill, Untold Scandal, my reason for wanting to see Queen of the Game, Magic, even if you stretch it, The Duelist).
Oh. Baby.
And then I went to youtube and found the following MV for it and I need to watch this drama YESTERDAY.
This MV is awesome. It's also spoilery. You've been warned:
Let's see, what else? I was having Damo withdrawal and was wondering what else the very awesome Lee Seo Jin (Hwangbo Yoon) has been in, preferably sans beard. But never in my wildest dreams did I think I was going to run across Freeze.
Why? IT’S A VAMPIRE STORY.
A kdrama vampire story. If there is any medium suited, it would be kdramas, as fiction!vampires like to dress stylishly and wallow in endless angst, which basically sums up kdramas.
And it is short! (Only five eps). And you know the best part? LSJ plays a VAMPIRE.
Oh man.
OH MAN.
This is the synopsis:
Lee Seo Jin (Damo, Phoenix) is Jung Won, a vampire who has lived for most of his 350 years of age trying to forget the love he lost. He runs a luxurious bar with his friend and fellow vampire Ihwa (Son Tae Young of Ode To The Han River and Wishing Stairs). All she could do was observe and protect her friend from afar, as he closed himself to any new emotion, afraid of suffering the same tragedy. But once he meets human Ji Woo (Park Han Byul of Yeon Gaesomun and To Marry a Millionaire), all those emotions frozen by time start to melt away for Jung Won. And of course Ihwa is not too happy about that...
