Perhaps Love and Tatta Hitotsu no Koi

Recently I bought a new shiny Perhaps Love DVD 'cause my old one died somehow. Yay! Hands down, it is one the most gorgeously filmed Takeshi Kaneshiro film I've seen so far. Perhaps on par with House of Flying Daggers, but they are two very different genres of films that it's hard to make a comparison. I'm a super duper sucker for movies with dancing and singing (hence my love for The Sound of Music, Moulin Rouge, The Producer etc)... and the colours and angles with which Perhaps Love was filmed were absolutely lovely :)

I think the leads were well chosen, but the character which stood out for me was actually Jacky Cheung's. I loved all his singing.. so emotionally perfect. Being a geek, of course I had no idea that he is actually a singer before becoming an actor :D Despised the lead girl's character, but the actress delivered very well. She has an unusual beauty that portrays a morose, worn out, and defeated look -- quite appropriate for her role. I really enjoyed Takeshi's performance too -- I was actually watching a bit of Kamisama Mou Sukoshi Dake before I watched Perhaps Love, and I have come to the conclusion that there is no such thing as overdosing on the hotness of Takeshi Kaneshiro... eeeee...!!! ^^

To celebrate my love for the film, I made screencaps and a few icons of Perhaps Love. I don't think anyone would be interested, but just in case, they are free to share :)

Tatta Hitotsu no Koi
I've finished!!! I don't think I'd write a meta on it 'cause so many people have gushed and made wonderful picspams of it :) It's simply one of the sweetest doramas I've ever watched. Enjoyed it very much. If I'm not mistaken not everyone was pleased with the way it ended, but IMHO the ending of Tattakoi was perfect. It was realistic, and it was positive (enough). Much like how I felt with the ending of My Name is Kim Samsoon :)
