I can’t remember when I started to feel this need....
Maybe when I realized there was too much corruption here...
Maybe when I realized I could enjoy no more those days spent at the river with the others...
Maybe when I realized flowers lost all their beauty in my eyes....
Maybe...
You’d say I’ve always been like this....
Never satisfied...
Always looking for something....
But the real question is: what I was exactly searching for?
I don’t know.... and probably I never will...
But for sure whatever I’m looking for is not here....
This is why I have to leave....
When you find out, please.. don’t hate me...
I thought deeply about this... and my heart couldn’t take it anymore...
You once told me I felt this way just because I was bored....
But doesn’t boredom kill a soul?
We witnessed that... We could see from high here how people became lifeless when they felt no more happiness in their lives.
I don’t want to be like this....
I’m not leaving you....
Because you are the only hope still closed in my heart...
And to keep that alive, everything else has to die...
Your first reaction would be trying to stop me...
But believe what I say... it would be an useless effort...
When darkness surrounds the place, I’ll walk away just like I lived till now: silently

When darkness came, two figures left the Gates of Tengoku.
They would go down to Hell.
They would become simple beings on Earth.
But it didn’t matter to them what they would have to fight to get there.
Holding hands, they walked away smiling.
The vow they made long ago to each other echoed silently everywhere:
”I’d give up immortality to be with you forever”
A promise kept till the world’s ending.
Author's small note: "Tengoku" is the Japanese word for Heaven.
And Ruki and Uruha are just two Kami, powerful High Beings.
