They never had much time to stay together.
Reharsals, tours, interviews and much more often kept them apart.
Even if they spent most of their days in the same building, they barely had time to see each others.
That’s why dawns were so precious to Kai.
Unknown to his lover, Kai got the habit to wake up just when the first rays of light were slowly enlightening their bedroom.
Kai just laid there on his side, his elbow on the pillow while he was resting his head on his hand.
And he watched the other silently, like he did every morning.
He looked at his precious angel sleeping close to him, his lips slowly parted, his head titled towards Kai’s side as if he was watching the other too in his sleep.
Kai always thought Shou was beautiful, since the day they met at PSC. He was so happy to have such a wonderful person to his side and love him and be loved by him.
Kai’s gaze moved from Shou’s closed eyes towards his plush red lips.
He smiled remembering the first kiss they shared: under the summer rain, both of them flushing like little girls, whispering those words that their hearts have been craving for so long.
“It’s like a movie” He said that day to Shou, making the other chuckle.
Kai’s fingers slowly caressed his lover’s chin and his smile grew wider when he noticed the other leaning onto the touch.
His hand kept travelling down to Shou’s neck and to his torso, resting right above Shou’s heart.
He could feel the heartbeats and realized he was blushing while he remembered the first night they spent together, when Shou told him “Listen to my heart: it beats just for you”.
The rays of sunlight were caressing Shou’s body and Kai lost himself watching that porcelain skin he always loved to touch, to feel against his own, to kiss.
His gaze moved again to his lover’s face: Shou looked so relaxed and peaceful and Kai promised to himself, like he did every day, that he’d do anything he could to always make happy his dearest.
His hand moved up and down over Shou’s abs, resting his fingers a bit longer over the pink love marks he made the previous night during their love making session.
He loved to hear Shou’s moans and whimpers every time his mouth wrapped around a small piece of flesh, sucking and teasing it.
He watched his own skin, looking at the marks the other made him.
They bonded them together. Those tiny marks meant they belonged to each others and no one would ever be able to tear them apart.
It’s been 2 years since the day Kai finally found the courage to confess and felt like in heaven when the other returned his feelings.
Two years of love, a feeling that kept growing stronger.
A sudden noise startled Kai from his thoughts: he quickly turned to the other side of the bed, setting off his alarm clock. He turned his head to see Shou moving closer to him in his sleep. Kai sighed in relief: he was glad his lover was still asleep so he could enjoy that special sight he was blessed to see everyday.
He was well aware that many fans had already seen a “not-so-dressed” Shou, but he was sure no one else had ever seen him so vulnerable and fragile like he did.
He remembered very well how Shou looked embarrassed the first time he’d shown himself uncovered to the other and Kai always felt so honoured to be able to get to see such a wonderful view.
He wrapped his arms around Shou’s waist, pulling him closer, resting his head over the other’s to inhale that unique scent he’d grown to love.
He looked outside the window and realized it was time to come out from their little perfect world and get back to reality. Kai wished he could enjoy the other’s company a little longer, but soon they’d have to get back to their duties.
He watched his lover and smiled thinking how peaceful the other looked when he was in his arms.
While his hand was slowly caressing Shou’s back, Kai bent down to kiss those tempting lips, pouring all his love into that simple act.
He moved his mouth towards his lover’s ear, whispering: “Wake up, angel”.
Kai felt Shou stirring his body and those beautiful eyes slowly opened up and blinked a few times.
The two lovers smiled at each others and Shou moved his arms to wrap them behind Kai’s neck to pull him down for another kiss.
When they broke apart, resting their foreheads together, Shou moved one of his hand over Kai’s heart. “Your morning kisses always make me have a better day” Shou whispered, making Kai smile.
“I’d kiss you every morning if I could” the other replied, tightening his grip on Shou’s waist.
The latter smiled and looked at his lover. “You know... it makes me feel like Snow White… waking up thanks to Prince Charming”. At that, they both chuckled.
Their story was like a fairy tale: no endings, just an everlasting love
Author’s note: I feel strange writing fluffy fics but while listening to that song and thinking about this couple, this was the first thing that crossed my mind X3
