After returning from Devon, things are nicely low-key. I am proud of myself that I conquered my fear of heights, but still annoyed that I was ever arfaid of them in the first place......Thank you abseiling, climbing, zipwire and high-ropes for that. Also on the jam-packed agenda was surfing, fencing, body boarding, archery, quad biking etc, as well as a talent contest that also turned out to be an embarassment contest....
They picked me out of the 150-strong audience and told me to copy everything this guy infront of me did. Fair enough, I thought, at least they're not going to squirt me with cream or anything, just have a good laugh at me making a fool of myself. There followed Nat, "the guy", doing supposed "kung-fu" moves (oh the shame). What I didn't realise was that a frisbee full of water had been slipped onto my seat, so when I copied Nat in sitting down, I got wet. Very wet, seeing as they decided to chuck some more in as well.......
I would like to say that it made me a better person, but, nah.
Thank you ailsajoy for the birthday ficlet!
B-e-a-utiful!
