Phew, SATs over at long last! Now I await the results (which I shall not receive till July....) The only paper that really annoyed me was the english writing. The task was to write the first chapter of a detective novel (fine), but then they wanted you to launch straight into the story without any sort of plausible opening (eh????????) with plenty of atmosphere (in the first chapter!!!!) and lively dialogue. Hmmmmmm. I can deal with the dialogue, but not having the main story straight away. What's more, we had 15 mins to plan and only half an hour to write this in. Can't wait to see what I got for that piece of rubbish.
Saw Van Helsing yesterday, and despite being the ultimate evil being, Dracula was scarily good-looking. Richard Roxburough played him extremely well.....and if you like plenty of gore and moster-action, then it's a great film to go and see. The graphics did in no way compare to LOTR though.......in fact, LOTR's graphics made Van Helsing's look like cartoons....still a must-see film though.
