Kingsley Boots!
I've been very busy recently, but one thing I have done is see the film Kinky Boots. It is fantastic, I really love it. And yay for it being as close to being British as you get nowadays (it's got american money).
It's a fantastic film for anyone who feels they haven't or can't match up to whatever their parents, or someone, wanted them to be. Or anyone who likes to laugh and likes good films. Basically, Joel Edgerton plays Charlie Price, who inheirits his father's shoe factory and has no idea how to keep it from going under. That is, until he meets Lola(Chiwetel Ejiofor), a London Drag Queen whose stilettoes keep snapping. It's the kind of film that makes you leaves the cinema strutting with a spring in your step, or something like that.
Okay, now lets zoom back a couple of weeks ago, when I saw Serenity (If you haven't seen it yet do whatever you have to to see it now!).One thing that bounced around the back of my head was whether the Operative was British- I couldn't tell and when I mentioned it to someone they said 'Don't be silly, he's American' so I forgot about it.
Back to Kinky Boots - one of the things that really makes the film is Chiwetel Ejiofor's performance as Lola. He is just brilliant and sings fantastically. I knew I recognised him and so when I got home I checked his imdb - and it's that same guy from Serenity. He is a Brit- comes from reasonably near me even!
Now I say to all those who were wanting a Black British Actor to play Kingsley; he should be the guy! I'm sure he'll look just as good in Auror's robes as he does in a cocktail dress, or an alliance uniform!

Hmm.. now I want to watch Dirty Pretty Things and Melinda and Melinda. Although I still don’t want to see Four Brothers (this is a busy man- he’s in three films in the British Cinemas at the same time!).
