new people...
today started off shitty with work, but it got better and better as the day went on...
after work, i took a shower, and then i went outside because i could see some heads on the volleyball court bobbing up and down when i walked past the study lounge. i walked up to the court and asked them if i could join... there was three on one side of the net and four on the other... so i figured i'd balance them out. one of the guys on the side with three spoke out and said... "well... we're waiting for four more people..." with this tone like they didn't want me. so i looked at all of them, hoping that somebody else would speak up... and then i said "OK" and started walking away. i noticed that one of the kids on the court was in my bowling class, and i thought maybe he'd speak up for me... but that didn't happen. then one of the girls on the other side said, "let him play... they aren't gonna get here for a while..." so they let me join. most of them gave me their names, but i didn't remember them at first. my team was a little bit better than the other team, because we had a girl named Nikki on our team that played in high school... and we all know how amazing i am at volleyball...
in the middle of playing, i could hear my name coming from the sky... i looked all around... i looked toward hubbard and heard my name again... then i looked for sarah and alison's room... it was them. i called them losers... they said i was sexy... the people on the volleyball court were impressed... i think.
anyway, after a while, we found out that the other four weren't gonna show... and the other team was debilitated from the dominating onslaught, and the girls decided they had had enough. the guys that were left wanted to try out this special frisbee, and i asked if i could play. they said sure. we talked a little more, and one of the guys named Matt was really big on bowling. the other guy, Kyle, seemed really cool too. i didn't catch the third guy's name, but he was pretty funny. the frisbee that we were using had a huge hole in the middle of it, and that thing could go the distance. i am a pretty weak kid, not gonna lie, and i could send that thing farther than Kyle, who was 3 X my size... then again, i'm not sure he was trying as hard as i was. after a while, the guy, whose name i didn't catch, had to leave... and shortly thereafter, Kyle said that he had to leave... Matt followed suit. we all walked into akers, and said our farewells... Matt apologized for saying that i couldn't play with them. i could tell that he felt really bad. they went over to west, and i went back to my dorm.
everybody was copacetic... so much so that i tried to find them on facebook... i'm pretty sure i found all of the people that i exchanged names with... we'll see if they respond.
after volleyball and frisbee, i went back to my dorm and asked if Alison wanted to import some of my cds onto her computer. she said sure. i went over. Sarah and i shared some leftover chinese (sweet and sour chicken, my favorite). Alison and i hung out while other people watched Sideways... shitty movie (but that's just my opinion). after the cds were done uploading, i left. that was my day.
