TURKEY OVERLOAD!!!
I had reserved a 16 pounder to cook on Thursday and upgraded to a 22 pounder after much protest from the boys that they would not eat a turkey under 20 pounds. So far I've made cream of turkey soup and an awesome turkey risotto. Tonight is turkey tettrazini. Eating turkey dishes for lunch this week is going to make me one sleepy worker. Yawn.
So far we LOVE the new place. If you walk behind our house there is a marsh and wildlife -- pheasants, foxes, rabbites! If you walk to the left you hit the Marina and can walk all around the water way and see folks fishing. There is actually a bait shop that is also a bar for those of us who like our booze to accompany some very briny odors.
You can get a sense of serenity and closeness to nature as long as you don't jump on the super highway and run into all the super mega shopping centers. Groceries, autozone, dry cleaners, fast food restaurants, and tanning salon all in one plaza is a bit overkill on convenience if you ask me.
