So the loot bag I got from the pride parade also has a leaflet that describes how to turn a condom into a dental dam, and promotes using it for safer oral sex.
My question is, has anyone actually ever used a dental dam? I just can't picture myself ever using one, or even imagine anyone else using one and actually enjoying it. It seems so intrusive to the exercise that it would ruin the whole damn thing. I mean, sure, I get it, if we never touch each other then sex will be much safer... but at some point, if there's no contact, it's not really worth having sex at all.
Maybe I'm just ignorant because I'm hetero & in a long-term monogamous relationship and thus not exactly at high-risk, but it sounds to me like something that was dreamt up by some safe sex committee, and everyone only ever pays lip service to it (pun fully intended).
