THE DIRT IS COMING TO GET ME

Nov 20, 2006 22:50

I knew all these clonazepam I've been hoarding would come in handy eventually. I am going to have a major need to self-medicate this weekend, crawling around inside a muddy cave and camping where there is no running water. Let's see how many obsessive compulsive anxieties I'll be battling:

dirt
more dirt
dirt on my hands
dirt in my hair
viruses and bacteria invading my body in conjunction with the dirt
a lack of running water with which to rinse all this god damn dirt off of my hands (my niece has made fun of me for washing my hands so often under normal, non-dirt-infested circumstances)
no hot soapy water to rid my hands of all the dirt before I take my contacts out or put them back in
inability to carry ridiculously large amounts of water on my person (I always carry my Nalgene for a reason; I carry more than that when I know I will not be near a water source for more than a few hours)
erm, having to follow the "leave no trace" rules for when nature calls (which, by the way, I haven't even had proper BSA training on and there was no way I was going to ask for elaboration in front of the goofy teenage boys at the meeting tonight)
CLAUSTROPHOBIA :-|

So. Klonopin shall be my best friend for the weekend.

And I wish I were kidding when I say I'm packing 50 individually wrapped antibacterial hand wipes :-(
I'm not even going to list the number of heavy duty freezer ziploc bags I'm packing, either. It's a scary number.
