I have the coolest Halloween costumes ever.
Devil's Night (Sunday): Walking parade through the French Quarter with the theme "Apocalypse." I'm dressing in Mad Max-esque garb, and I must say that I look fuckin' bad-ass in my outfit: Matte black vinyl pants with a big zipper and 4 buckles around the waist to act as a belt, a leather waist cincher, 4-rowed spike wrist cuff with two buckles, vinyl bra, all kinds of crazy holey fishnet on my top above the cincher, comprised of a fishnet tank top and the remnants of several dead pairs of fishnet stockings, and my mid-calf boots with 3 buckles (or possibly my knee-high Gripfasts...but they don't have enough metal on them for this outfit, in my opinion.)
Accessories: (spray-painted) black watergun Uzi, a revolver in a shoulder strap, a row of fake bullets to sling over one shoulder, and... a MOHAWK. No, I didn't cut my hair off, I still have a mass of long straight hair; I got this hair piece with a strip of wire running down it at Fifi's that I can use along with a comb, a lot of hair ratting and a lot of hairspray to create a masterpiece...it's hard to explain but there will be pictures, and plenty of them.
I can't freakin' wait to wear this out in public.
I still need to go to Wal-Mart to buy some of this fake leather with grommets to fashion some kind of holster for the Uzi. Possibly to use as decoration on my Gripfasts if I decide those look better than the others over the pants.
Just for fun I hooked up my hunting knife to my belt and tied the string around my thigh and it looks awesome with this outfit...too bad it's nice and illegal for me to carry that monster around in public....If I can find a cheap-o plastic knife that will fit in the holster (doubtful since plastic knives are usually much thicker than real ones) I'll get it.
Halloween (Monday): I'll be a sexy 1920's era gangster. I have a pinstripe corset that I'll either wear with a pair of black pants or with an itty bitty black miniskirt with thigh-high stockings and garters visible beneath it. I've got a Fedora, a white collar with a black bowtie, and a black Tommy gun (also the revolver on the shoulder strap from the Mad Max outfit.) Not sure about shoes yet, but that's the least of the worries with this outfit; the corset steals the show.
Saturday night at the Dervish the theme is "Horror Homecoming" and I have no idea what I'll wear for that...I don't have any homecoming type dresses that I don't mind getting fake blood all over. I might try to be a dead cheerleader....but....I'm not really feeling the theme. I might just do my own thing, who knows.
Halloween is so much fun!!
