I don't update nearly enough.
After a mere three weeks of being seriously unemployed, I got an e-mail from Berkeley City College offering me the job as a lab technician. Needless to say I was happy. I totally thought I tanked the interview, but I guess the other people just were not the right fit for the job. I already talked with my future boss, the head of mathematics and science and she seems really cool. Got to tour the laboratory and preview the workload that awaits me. It is an exciting time and the job seems like the perfect thing to do in order to learn and improve the laboratory skills I will need as a science instructor.
Been running quite a bit, found a flat bike path to run that extends for at least six miles in one direction so I am quite amped that I have a place to do easy long runs. My new pair of Adidas Supernova Control 10's are awesome.
Why is it that when I finally get around to talking to the girl that I like, that she ends up moving back to LA? Life sucks like that sometimes. Upon much introspection, I came to the conclusion that things would not have worked out anyway. I need to grow up.
All in all, life seems to be quite good right now. I will just have to take these couple of weeks to chill and enjoy my remaining time as a bum.
