My hair has gotten so long! It's driving me crazy! I am enjoying playing with curls and it's all bouncy and shiny... I still can't wait to cut it all off and go back to short hair once more.
We have two new co-workers, Jamie and Emily. I did Jamie's hair last Friday and it looks so much better. I wish I'd gotten a picture of before but it isn't hard to imagine. She had long, one-length hair that was a flat dark brown with the typical highlights (the kind where it gets lighter towards the bottom as well).
When she came in to get her highlights retouched I told her that I wanted to take her away from the normal highlights routine and also I was cutting her hair no matter what she said (but that I wouldn't take away any length either)
We had Track and Field Day 2007 on July 1st. It was awesome.
The water balloon relay.
Relaxing in between events.
The photo finish for the beer bong contest. (Kenny let go just a second after that, so it came down to who had downed more before stopping.)
Tyler and Kenny proving they can do a beer bong after the race.
A minute after this picture was taken I pulled Adrian's pants down while he was facing the mirror and ran away.
Bored one night and had my fun with Adrian's face.
Justin's Birthday! He was telling Adrian to sing.
I got a car in April! I bought it from Roger Beasley Mazda in Austin since my granddad has been buying cars there for 25+ years and he also knows Roger Beasley. We got 5,000 off of the car (hell yea!) and I had to fly to Denver to meet my father and Missy there and drive it back to Oregon with Dad while Missy hung out with my Aunt Sarah in Fort Collins, Colorado.
My car sitting at my dad's house in Austin.
At a park by my Aunt Sarah's house.
This is my favorite lookout point in Oregon so far. (Not on a road trip in my car....this was on the road trip to the beach right after Grammy died in February.)
On the way back from the hair show in Seattle, Adrianne, Gabbi and I pass by this truck and I see the back of it and I had to take a picture.
We also found this sign which we thought Ferret would love.
This is my watchfrog. He'll shoot you.
Heather being silly.
AJ on his knees so I could take a picture.
He looks so saaaaddddd. Puppy Dog Eyes.
I went to a Murad skin care class today at Washington Square. I got some free stuff (C & D) and I also answered a question before anyone else so I got some other free stuff (A & B).
A. Lighten and Brighten eye Treatment - $75
B. Essential-C Eye Cream SPF 15 - $65
C. Acne Spot Treatment - $17
D. Skin Perfecting Lotion - $33
There has been more bad news since I stopped writing for that several month stretch (which happens every couple of years it seems). The rabbit that we were fostering for Amy and Tyler got an upper respiratory infection and died the night we went to see 300. One of our guinea pigs, Mary Jane, also died from the same thing as well. We decided it would be the best idea to find a better home for the other two guinea pigs so we don't have them anymore. We only took the guinea pigs in so get them healthy again and then find them a different home anyway. Amy and Tyler even had a death as well. One of the cockatiels, Cozmo, landed in a bucket of water one day and drowned. Amy called me crying hysterically one night asking if she could come over and bury him in our backyard. It was awful.
The worst news is that Woodrow didn't fare so well this summer. He wouldn't drink water since he was so hot (we even cut his hair so he wouldn't be nearly as hot) and so he became severely dehydrated. Since he was dehydrated he was nauseous and didn't want to eat so of course he lost weight and felt even worse. We took him to the vet where she said that he almost went into kidney failure and we went home. We had to give him saline injections in order to keep him hydrated and we also had to force feed him but he was just so miserable and got worse. We eventually had to take him in and put him down. It's been a month and a half and I still think I see him sometimes. I had to go next door and tell our neighbors that he had died so that way they could tell their 11 year old girl who loved Woodrow.
I have to say that I'm really glad we were able to adopt Woodrow and get him healthy enough to be a feisty, pampered cat who got to live two more years with people who loved and cared for him and gave him all the attention he could ever want (and more lol).
Miko on the other hand has been extremely happy that Woodrow is gone. He promptly went into the living room when he realized that Woodrow wasn't coming back and claimed his territory by peeing on Woodrow's scratching box.
Just so I don't end this entry on a sad note I will........... forget what I was going to write.
Nevermind.
