Busy Times
I haven't updated for a few days as my schedule got crazy busy this week. O.O;;
Orientation is tomorrow which means I have to be at work at 6:45am. Eghhh. Then I get to spend four hours answering questions from students/parents that they already have answers for in the BIG BOOKLET we give them. But they will not be deterred by something so silly as logic and common sense.
I must say, I did get a fairly humorous question at the last Orientation. A woman walked up to me with, who I think was the grandmother of the student, and asked me if I was Half. It took me a moment to figure out she meant half Japanese. Yeah.......so, I'm about 5'11 to 6 feet tall and as pale and Irish the day is long. I guess it could have been because I have really dark almost black hair? That and I was using my little conversational Japanese skills I had to help talk with some of the international students. I think it will be the first and last time someone asks me that question, LOL.
How has everyone else been? Anything exciting I've missed? No, not Inauguration. My family lives in Washington, D.C. so I was all over that. It makes me feel like my vote actually mattered for once - amazing. I <3 Obama.
