"Carter didn't grab my ass, *Amanda* grabbed my ass."

The cat's been stalking me all afternoon. He waits just around the corner as I'm coming down the hall, but he never actually pounces. He just looks up at me like, "What now?" He's not even very good at hiding. The little nose peeking around the corner kind of gives the game away.

He's getting more used to being in the house. He's mostly figured out the floor plan, as much as his little kitty brain capacity will allow, and now he's exploring in the upward direction - chairs, coffee tables, people sitting on couches. He climbed up on the computer desk while I was downloading my school e-mail onto Edward (145 messages... yeah, I should probably check that more often.) It was extremely cute, even the bit where he sniffed at the dusty monitor and promptly sneezed on me. I don't know what's going on here. I didn't used to like this cat. I suspect sorcery. Or possibly alien brain rays.

Okay, no more cat babbling. Let's see... other stuff to babble about... Cartoons! Last night on Aqua Teen Hunger Force aliens were stealing the Aqua Teens' cable using.... a Fargate! ("not affiliated in any way with that movie I haven't seen, or the syndicated series based on it") I laughed like an idiot. Pam pretended not to know me. I also pointed out the technical inaccuracy ("You can only go one way through an open wormhole!") Pam... continued to pretend not to know me. Fun all around.

I couldn't help it, though. The little Fargate was just so cute! It had little chevrons and symbols and everything. I think one of the symbols was a whale, but I couldn't see the others very well. I've been poking around online looking for screencaps, but to no avail.

I've been thinking about hats. I think I would look very dashing in a fedora. I tried to steal one of my Dad's after dinner last night, but he wanted to keep it. Something about keeping rain off his head. Whatever.

See, on Saturday Gwen and I were watching Stargate S6 in syndication, and it was an episode neither of us had seen (Smoke and Mirrors, to be exact.) This is pretty rare, so we were playing 'Call the Plot Twist.' So, General Hammond relieves SG-1 of duty and tells them to go investigate, blah blah blah, and I'm all "Ooh, Teal'c in public on Earth. This means we get a hat!" And, you know, they're investigating a crime, so the most logical hat for the situation is a fedora, right? Cut to the next scene and... Teal'c's in his same old black knit cap. All my fedora hopes dashed, just like that. So now my brain is stuck in that fedora place, you know?

We started in on Hamlet this morning in Shakespeare. I can tell I'm gonna like Dolan's take on it. Though I haven't studied Hamlet since... early high school, at least. So I've got nothing recent for comparison. I guess we went over it a little last winter before studying R&G, but that was different. I do find myself paying more attention to Rosencrantz and Guildenstern, especially what bits of the play Stoppard used as source for his play and what he had to make up. It's a bit like fanfiction, really, borrowing Shakespeare's characters and filling in the missing scenes. So much love...

Ooh, Spongebob cereal. I wonder if the pineapple marshmallows are pineapple-flavored or just pineapple shaped. I'm hoping the latter. Not that I'm gonna buy the cereal or anything. I'm a Cheerio girl all the way.

And now it's time for Thai food. I didn't get my Pad Thai last week, and my cravings will not be deferred any longer!
