My Muse Likes It Wordless

Music plays a huge role in my writing.

In fact, the very mood of the piece can be affected by what I'm listening to at the moment. It's very possible that my entries in the past, or any of my written pieces were a product of the music I was listening to. Which also means that had I been listening to something else, the mood of the piece could have been very different than what is written in its original form.

I listen to instrumentals. I somewhat need to. If there are words in the song, and I know the song, I'll end up focused on the lyrics and not the words I'm trying to write. I may be able to think with pictures in layers, but when it comes to words, it's only one line at a time.

This is my current playlist:Totems of the Grizzlemaw makes me really happy and sad at the same time. Very nostalgic for me. Both a longing for the past and the future. And right now, the current project I'm working on, that's the essence I need.
