I know its cliché, but I have a raging case of senioritis. I recently blew off a 900 page book because “it wasn’t worth my time.” That was seriously the excuse I used. My initial goal of the semester was to remain on the dean’s list (which I achieved for the first time last semester) but I think that feat is blown out of the water. I don’t really mind though. I’m basically over it.
I’m finding apartment/job hunting in Savannah much more enjoyable than school at this point. Craigslist isn’t being much help, but I’ve been scouring the internet for realtors etc who have houses for rent. The dog is making it exceedingly difficult; most places don’t allow pets. I’m not too worried at this point; we’ll find a place to live.
The job hunt has been a little less than successful too. I’ve emailed a few newspapers and magazines in the area about assistant editing positions, and they both told me to get in touch with them when I relocate. Jon’s friend went to Sav. College of Art and Design, and she’ll be in the city in May working somewhere… so I could probably get some advice from her. Her father is apparently an incredibly successful freelance author/publishing guy, but I forgot his name… something Jackson. Maybe I could get some kind of in with him… (their family also invented the cure for polio, as I’m told. So there’s a tiny bit of money kicking around between them. Yowzers…)
The person who just sat down next to me at the library computer cluster smells like onion and patchouli. Strongly.

PS. I have recently given in to the myspace phenomenon. Oh, the shame….
