Last night I decided to get some culture so I drove to Lindale to watch my cousin's basketball game. When I was walking out of the building I kinda stumbled over some rocks and I twisted my knee, enough to where I felt it. It didn't feel so bad last night, so I came home and hobbled up the stairs and fell asleep.
However, when I woke up this morning I had an intense, throbbing pain in my right knee. I don't really have much range of motion with my leg (without extreme pain), so just getting out of bed was a chore, not to mention showering, getting dressed, and getting in to my car.
I am beginning to think that certain events which have occurred are "omens" that I should not have moved. They're all minor things, but between my flat tires a month ago, the first U-haul I brought to pack all my things in to was too small, the day before I was leaving I woke up with that weird neck pain that lasted until I got to Georgia, I got that killer cold when I got here, then a stomach virus, and now, twisting me knee so I can hardly walk. I can't help but think maybe I'm not supposed to be here.
But, I'm still here and I'm staying here, so I guess this is all coincidence or something gonna have to kill me to get me to move. My twisted knee is actually kind of funny because even going to the bathroom is hard because it hurts to bend my leg so I have to keep my right leg straight and just kinda fall on to the toilet. Anyway, enough about that....
So, tonight, even though my knee is hurting, I went to Barnes & Noble, which I have been doing frequently as of late, since I don't really have friends, or anything better to do, really, so I walk around Barnes & Noble. (I've applied for a job there, and I have an interview next week.) Anyway, I hobbled around Barnes & Noble for a few hours, and walked out with an iced cappuccino and the Damien Rice CD which I have heard several times in Erin's car. It's such a good CD.
So then I limped home, and here I am.
I watch SO MUCH TV since I moved. I have become addicted to A & E and The N. I have been seeing commercials saying that The N is going to start running "My So-Called Life" starting in March. They have these little promotional commercials where people are reminiscing about the show and on one of the commercials there is this girl, and at the bottom of the screen her age is displayed. 15. Now, I am (almost) 19 and I barely remember when "My So-Called Life" came on MTV, so I find it hard to believe that someone 4 years younger than me was a fan of the show and remembers it so well. In fact, I would assume that most kids that watched the show and were fans are now somewhere between 20 and 25. But, I guess it's possible.
Speaking of The N, I have watched so many episodes of Degrassi I think I've just about seen them all. I am in love with Craig. He's so dreamy.
My favorite episode was on tonight, the one where Terri gets drunk before the dance, and J.T. and Toby get caught looking at porn on the internet.
Hey, has anyone seen that Progressive insurance commercial where the guy is buying his mom a birthday cake? Doesn't that guy look just like Will Wright?
