Including children's books, since they are essential, I would say maybe 50 or so. I wish i owned more though.

not counting school books that i bought and didn't read, Iw oudl have to say Skal's Screams of Reason: Mad Science and Modern Culture
3) The last book I read?
Again, other than class books, I am currently reading Pieces...a collection of short stories. before that was the davinci code and shopgirl

regarding other news,
i am done with the semester, and im going home for the weekend, and my 3 week summer class starts monday. its too late to be writing this, but i just frebreezed my bed, so i have to let it dry.
i went to the beach today and it was wonderful. we were the only people there and while we didnt go in, it was two hours of relaxing bliss.
otherwise, whether its the movies, the time of month, or recent events, i think this weekend will be good for me to clear my head of things.
so i guess thats it for now, here's to hoping my bed's dry.
