Let's say you were having a conversation with a friend who was sitting at his computer.
You mentioned some interesting topic you'd read about recently.
He immediately said "let's see what they say on the internet", and started regaling with you the highlights of the first (rather shallow) article he clicked on.
At times when you interjected, either with objections to the article's substance, or with objections to his turning to the internet instead of carrying on the conversation, he said "What? I'm _reading_."
Would you be miffed?
Would you think it totally normal?
