This weekend was crazy, first Prom then the Bright Eyes/The Faint show at Webster Hall.
Prom started out like crap. My date, Diana, called me at 3pm saying she couldn't come because her grandfather was rushed to the hospital because of a stroke. Mind you, I had to be ready and at Yanette's house for pictures at 5. So from that time I think I called about twenty million people. Finally at 4:30, Andi calls me saying that our friend Chrissy is coming,s o it worked out.
Prom was great. I took pictures, but I don't like how I came out in any of them. I danced a lot, as expected I guess. The place was awesome, much better than last year's. There were so many people that there were two dance floors, lol. Leaving prom was funny, it seemed that the same people that walked out, walked back in when a bag of clothes. The bathroom was like a locker room.
After prom, we went to a comedy club. It was pretty funny. I won't get into detail but it was a good time. Then after that we dropped off some people and then drove out to Poin Lookout. We spent the night there. The next morning, we had breakfast and just hung out for a long why and kept taking littles naps. I got home around 4. I slept until 5 then woke up and got ready for Bright Eyes.
I met up with Andi and we took the train down there. I laughed at the bouncer because he looked at my ID and said "Not 18 yet" and I'm like, "Dude, 2 means February." He got Andi with the ID shit, so we had to wait until management came out to see if they'd let us in. Which they did. The place was big and we got a nice spot right up front.
The Mars Black opened, I was expecting another indie band, but no, they were rap. How weird is that? The Faint was AMAZING. So much energy and everyone was dancing and going crazy. They played a great set. Bright Eyes was just plain, GREAT. Everyone was so caught up in the music. He stood on a keyboard and almost stepped on the guy's fingers. He also make absolutely no sense whee he spoke, and said "thanks so much" a lot. The only thing we understood were freedom, god, drunk, and love, as far as everything else I have no idea what he said. It was funny 'cause he'd be talking and within the crowd you'd hear "What?"
