Today I could discuss a variety of topics pertinent to what my day's been like so far.
- The Art of Not Getting Upset When Plans Go Awry
- Event-Planning on the Fly
- When to and NOT to Listen to Your Instinct: A Wedding Suit Story
- Your Parents: Yeah, They Aren't Always Right
…but really, I'd love to spend more time working on each of those, rather than try to blast them out at the last minute. So here I am, on the way out of the door in an hour or less, and I do have topics I wanted to write up, but they're all too long.
So what's a fledgling blogger to do?
Well, let me tell you about one thing - appreciation.
Appreciation is something that I believe we don't show one another often enough. It doesn't even need to be when someone goes out of their way to make your life better - perhaps we should improve at just appreciating people for being friends. For being there. For listening. For lending us change for coffee. For being
decent human beings.
We can appreciate people for all sorts of things. It doesn't have to be a special day, or even a GOOD day to show appreciation.
Just do it.
Which leads to my point - I appreciate you guys. The readers; those on the RSS readers; the people who don't want to comment, but still tell me in person that you read my blog; everyone on Twitter, Facebook and LiveJournal - all of you. You keep me going and accountable even on the days where I'm all flustered and don't make enough time for blogging.
I'll keep it up and I hope you keep reading.
Thanks again,
