Fucking Arachnids
Gracie got bit by a spider behind her little pinkie toe. Her entire foot swelled up and turned red. We rushed her to the after-hours clinic, where an asshole doctor spent a whole 30 seconds with her and prescriped Benadryl and steroids for "the allergic reaction". We went to her pediatrician today and she was like "What the fuck. It's an infection. Here's some antibiotics". She's doing much better now, but it's so scary when there's a health concern for someone only you are responsible for. And she was so miserable and I couldn't do anything to help her. But now she gives me smiles and talks to the ceiling fan. So all is good.
