Personality:
Shadow the Hedgehog could be described as many things; broody, non-emotional, distant, ect. In truth he is a distant person due to his past. He was open once with someone and they died a horrible death. Though he doesn't remember this, the instinct to not get close to people is still there. Thanks to the amnesia, he feels lost and out of place often and withdraws from such circumstances. He doesn't like situations he can't control or fully understand. He is searching for answers to who he is and why he has the one memory he does. Things like purpose in life and the meaning of being alive are questions he is constantly trying to solve.
None of these inner thoughts and feelings will be things he'll easily express to others. He doesn't trust easily though he does seem to have a habit of forming a connection with those he first meets in new situations. He places trust in those he finds he can read easily. The more someone wears they're true colors out in the open the more likely he is to trust them. He wasn't always such a blank slate though. Before his amnesia, he wasn't against manipulating people to get what he wanted and some of that still rings true in his personality today. He has no qualms about manipulating someone he may not like into doing something for him, though he doesn't do it often. He has a conscience about what is right and wrong but no idea where it came from. This all adds to his always questioning demeanor and his search for knowledge.
In a fight Shadow does become a very dark and devastating opponent. He doesn't pull punches against anyone he fights and sees battle as both parties doing anything and everything they can to win. This also explains why he was going to use guns against humans and the Black Arms as he didn't have the energy to fight them all on his own. He needed to use devastating tools such as those to take down his opponents.
In the end Shadow is really the anti-hero archetype. He doesn't work well in a group until he is paired with other anti-hero types or forced to with the end of the world about him. He prefers to be alone most of the time with his thoughts and doesn't enjoy constant social interaction. He also has quiet the temper and is not against telling people what he thinks of them. This hedgehog is about as blunt as a hammer and knows it.

Abilities/Additional Notes:
Shadow's abilities are just like Sonic's in many ways. He is very acrobatic and can travel at super speeds thanks to his air shoes. He is also strong and a very capable hand to hand fighter. He can preform homing attacks and a spin dash attack. Shadow also has quiet the endurance when he has his energy rings on. They suppress his overall power in favor of helping him last longer in a fight. With them off he can access all of his power, becoming insanely fast and power for a short time before he becomes exhausted and passes out.
He also has the ability to manipulate chaos energy. Though without any Chaos Emeralds in Paradise he will only have access to a few. He will be able to still use his chaos spear ability, which launches arrow head shaped blasts of chaos that explode on contact. He can also access his Chaos Blast power and his Chaos Boost power without an Emerald. He builds energy inside of him through combat and when it reaches it's pique, he unleashes it in one of two ways. He can either unleash it as a blast, which is a dome of red chaos energy that expands from him, knocking people and objects away from him or a boost, which allows him to move super fast and seemingly to zoom through the air without manipulating time.
Shadow can also wield a variety of firearms; from semi-automatic to heavy arms. He is also good with melee weapons and knows how to use debris as makeshift weapons if in a pinch. He can also drive a variety of vehicles; from cars and trucks to motorcycles. This distinguishes him from Sonic as the blue hedgehog does not like using weapons and prefers to run
Advocate Note:: Yes. As Shadow has been both good, evil, and neutral the gods see him as having a versatile expanse of experiences. He is far more neutral than Sonic and has been both against and worked for Dr. Eggman on several occurrences. He judges situations more on a case-by-case basis rather than an overall sense of morality. He forbids very few behaviors really and only will not stand for massive injustices; such as the hurting of innocent children. He is decisive and follows through on any decision he makes.
