So I got my first tattoo today, on my left shoulder. Danny talked me into going to Mark's tattooing, so I paid a little over a hundred dollars for it but the shading is beautiful and I know I'll love this thing forever. I'll admit that I was very nervous, and that the outlining at first was almost unbearable, and also that I fainted and scared the shit out of Danny. After I drank a bottle of Pepsi and had a few glucose tablets I was feeling better, and once Danny, Josh (the tattoo artist) and I just started talking about everything but the tattoo I was feeling just fine. In retrospect, it really wasn't that bad, but I got myself so worked up that I made it worse for myself. The shading didn't hurt at all, and the coloring only started to hurt because he had to go over the same places a few times and it was getting tender. Sitting topless in a tattoo studio isn't very fun, but it's livable. I just keep looking at my back and every time I do I completely forget that whole pain part. I can't wait to get my next one.
