Brutal and tender. Moving, yet bound by itself. Bold, though tragically uneven. Gorgeous writing punctuated by pointless archaisms. Sentence fragments in the murk. Repetitious imagery in the ... murk. Narrow, over-hyped, kind of pretentious. The Road gets a C+.
