Paintball

Paintball this weekend was nice. My gun is still a bit out of commission because of a leak in the valve area, so I borrowed my friend Cory's gun. We both bought Spyder Pilots, but he has since upgraded to an Invert Mini and left me in the dust - so I borrow his old Spyder when mine is down.

In one of the recball games I threw on my Apex barrel. This is the first time I've used it where I actually had success - there was no wind, and I wasnt really trying for curves, just distance. I slung afew shots up a hill into a guys face, right between two pallet barriers. Afew shots hit and missed, he sticks his head out, and BAM. Direct hit. I usually dont like using the Apex because it isnt all that accurate at a distance, but we played on the recball field, so really, haveing the extra range outweighed the accuracy. It played in my favor.

One other game was great, because me and a guy with an A5/Flatline immediately fell back to the tower/fort. We could see the guys on the other side moving toward us in waves....and it was perfect. Me and this guy were safe and sound up in this tower. Raining down death complimetns of an Apex and Flatline, both of which excel in teh range department. We were tagging people out before there were close enough to even think about being able to hit us. So awesome. I usually dont use the Apex but it really does shine in certain situations.

Next week is Nuclear Civil War at The Paintball Zone. Huge scenario game, my first. I'm really excited. Hopefully I'll have a small Mazda pickup by then, a beater to tide me over till I can get a real car. Should only need it for afew months at most. I have quite a but of cash saved, its only a matter of time before I find a Golf or GTI that is a good deal. Shit, I already learned I'm getting $1000 back for taxes.
