5th Wolf: [Action]

[Thrall is carrying a large wooden totem on his back.  Depending on when and where you run into him, this may involve him hiking through the forest with it or just carrying it through the village.

Why is he doing this, you ask?  ... Shaman stuff.  You're free to ask for a better explanation, of course...]

i has a totem, off on a hike, shamanism ftw

Heya, Thrall! What's that you got on your back?

Adell. [He gives a nod.]

This is a totem, one of the ones I've created to honor the elemental spirits of Luceti. I'm taking it up to the mountains, where Kipinn, the spirit of wind, is most commonly found.

I'm sure Kipinn will appreciate it. It looks like you spent a lot of time making it!

That's my hope. The spirits of Luceti seem to provide their help regardless, but proper appreciation should still be given.

That's a noble belief. I wonder if others here have the same kind of respect for them.

It's hard to say. Jaina at least should, but a number of people here don't come from worlds with spirits of their own, and so they aren't used to dealing with them.

I certainly wasn't. But spending a few days listening to them talk to me through you was enough to make me realize they're there. That was quite an experience...

It tends to alter one's perspective.

It has. I'm more aware of the world around me. ...Makes me wonder if there are spirits back in Veldime.

It's not impossible. What sort of world is it?

[Adell hesitates.]

Uh... well, it's just a world. Rural, with forests, rivers... a couple of cities. It's home to humans. Mostly.

Any magic?

Plenty of it. Mages and wizards are pretty common. Mage Knights have access to it too. Mostly they study Fire, Ice, and Wind magic, with some choosing to study "Star." Best as I know, that's just raw magic. Some people learn magic through study. Witches know magic naturally and receive instruction on control.

Interesting. Learning through study sounds like Jaina's variety of magic, but I can't think of any version that's known from birth on Azeroth.

So, you have to study to learn magic there too, huh? Seems like a common thing. It sounds rare for people to have natural gifts for it.

Well, my shaman abilities are similar to magic, but it's less studying and more understanding that gives them.
