Trucks and Laughter

Well, the good joss caught up to me in the best way Saturday; I finally found a truck that I really liked at the price I was willing to pay. My other truck (as danny_t ,  fechten  and erikonil  will attest to, with genuine fear in their eyes) had it's moments of  threatening to die in transit, but fortunately never did, and looked like something that the Clampetts wouldn't drive on a bet.  When Radio Flyer finally got to the point that the investment of repairs far surpassed its value ($2500 in repairs for a truck I had purchased for $200 thirteen years earlier (I'll take a chance and say that that was the best $200 I had ever spent on a vehicle)) it was time to put him down. The motor, tranny and drive train went to a friend to live again in another F-100 series (he did the entire rebuild himself on the engine and tranny, and was damn near solid perfect from what I saw) while the rest went to the scrap yarp to be made anew in something else. I like to think that the recycled steel went into another truck, but that's just me.

So anyway, Saturday, I went to go see a guy who lives three minutes walk from me and his '91 F-150. The paint isn't great, but still okay, no rust, a newer straight six fuel injected 300 motor and automatic tranny, cruise, windows, ABS, etc etc etc and could I spare $1500 for it.  I may have paid too much for it, if you go by KBB, but I liked this truck, so now it's mine, and I'm quite pleased with it.  Still getting used to it, but really glad I found him.  By the way, his callsign is 'Sonny', as in Son of Radio Flyer.  Yes, I am a kook for naming my cars and trucks, but I don't care. Why be normal when you can be eccentric, and still get to hang out with cool guys?!!  (And yes, if you need to move stuff call me!)

And, now for the laughter: this is so farking funny I can't stand it:

Keep the faith all,  and take care.
